A BAR OF SOAP?

I just did something that I haven't done for years:  I washed my hands using a bar of soap!

C'mon - have you used a bar of soap lately?  Bars of soap are obsolete!  Unsanitary!  Who used that bar of soap last?

Now we use push-pump bottles or dispensers.  Sometimes we by-pass water altogether and use alcohol-based cleaners.

The fact that Ivory floats is meaningless today - who cares?  It always left a ring in the tub anyway!

Remember those cloth towell dispensers in public restrooms?  You pull down a fresh section and dry your hands.  Whose idea was that?  Who re-rolled all those long, cloth towells and stuffed them back in the dispenser?

Plus, who wants to touch the handle to turn on the water?  There are all kinds of germs waiting there to leap onto your hands and infect you!  Not to worry.  Now, you just hold your hands under the fawcett and the water automatically gives you a measured spurt to clean your hands.

Then you hold your hands under a hot-air machine and it magically comes on to dry your hands.

Now, if the door would just automatically open so I don't have to touch that door handle - where more of those germs are lurking...
